Seymour Moscovitz, Ph.D., is a Faculty member of the New York University Postdoctoral Program and the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research, where he has taught courses in psychodiagnostics, contemporary psychoanalytic theory, and the contributions of Hans W. Loewald. Since 1979, he has occupied administrative, clinical, and supervisory roles in psychiatric hospitals and Family Court settings.

His major research interest has been the process and outcome of psychoanalytic treatment. He is a member of the Rapaport-Klein Study Group, and on the boards of the Psychoanalytic Research Consortium and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts of New York.
